LTO 9 Tape

LTO-9 Ultrium tapes are a type of data storage tape that are used for backup and archival purposes. They use a magnetic tape that is coated with a fine layer of metal particles, which are magnetically charged to store data. LTO-9 tapes also feature advanced data compression and encryption capabilities for added security and data protection.

Features and Benefits

• LTO Ultrium 9 Tapes Data Cartridges can store up to 18TB (native) and up to 45TB* (compressed).
• LTO 9 Tapes are read-and-write backwards compatibility with LTO 8 tapes. LTO Ultrium 9 tapes will support LTFS, WORM (Write Once, Read Many) functionality and data encryption.
• LTO 9 tapes have transfer speeds of 400 MB/s (native), 1,000 MB/s (compressed 2.5:1)
