HID Global Mobile Access is compatible with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy, also known as Bluetooth Smart) across both iOS and Android platforms. However, NFC (Near-field Communication) support is limited to Android devices due to Apple's restrictions on NFC functionalities on iOS.

The choice between BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and NFC (Near Field Communication) for interacting with the reader through your mobile device is determined by the types of readers installed and the compatibility of the mobile devices with the Mobile Access system. HID advocates for incorporating both BLE and NFC within the Mobile Access framework to ensure a smooth entry experience across a diverse range of devices. For Android devices, using NFC to tap open ensures the quickest entry time. On iOS devices, the Tap function exclusively uses BLE. Both Android and iOS devices support the Twist and Go feature, as well as opening via a widget on a smartphone or wearable device, through BLE technology.

To get started with the HID Origo Management Portal, navigate to HID Origo Managment Portal and select the option to CREATE ACCOUNT. Fill in your user and organization information and then hit SUBMIT. You will receive a confirmation email shortly after registering. Nevertheless, it is advisable for users to wait for an invitation email from the Mobile Access portal before proceeding with the download. This email includes direct links to the appropriate download section and provides the registration code needed to configure the app.

Please note the following prerequisites for the Trial Subscription:

• Your premises must be equipped with Mobile-Ready HID readers to utilize the Trial Subscription. HID Mobile Access is compatible with all HID Signo readers and HID iCLASS SE Mobile-Ready readers that have the Bluetooth module installed. If your site does not currently feature these Mobile-Ready HID readers, you are encouraged to contact an authorized HID Channel Partner.
• Once the Trial Subscription is activated, it is necessary to upload a MOB key to your readers and ensure these devices are properly configured for BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) communication through the HID Reader Manager.
