  • Supports all existing HID card formats, including Corporate 1000.
  • Supports field programming of any existing HID format into the HID access control application area on the card.
  • Provides versatile interoperability in applications like access control, network log-on, cashless vending and many other areas.

With iCLASS smart card technology, users benefit from mutual authentication between the card and reader, encrypted data transfer, and the use of 64-bit diversified keys for read/write contactless capabilities. However, recognizing the evolving landscape of cybersecurity threats, additional measures are required to fortify card data against modern hacking techniques.

Compliant with ISO standards for size and thickness, iCLASS smart cards are compatible with direct image and thermal transfer printers. Boasting a surface optimized for high-quality photo ID printing, these cards are available in standard PVC or composite polyester/PVC construction, catering to environments with elevated wear and tear. Furthermore, options for visual security and anti-counterfeiting features, such as holograms, ultraviolet fluorescent inks, micro-printing, or customizable logos, ensure easy identification of genuine smart cards, bolstering overall security measures.

Secure Identity Object (SIO) Programming is not mandatory but highly recommended. If SIO programming is not selected the letter H should be left out from Final Part Number, for example: 2000PGGNN.

² For new artwork files, contact Customer Service for custom artwork number, lead-times, and cost.
³ Cards ordered with plain white front and back packaging, or custom artwork, will still have a small HID logo and reference number printed in the lower left-hand corner and a slot punch target printed on the back of the card. Most part numbers are marked with sales order number. A custom part number is required to omit all marking from the card.  Contact your local support representative for details.
⁴ The Printed card number is placed in the bottom right-hand corner on the back of the card.
⁵ Cards are provided with an optional slot punch at no additional charge. Some video imaging printers cannot  accommodate pre-slot punched cards.
⁶ The ability to add a horizontal slot punch requires a different iCLASS antenna design. Users can expect a read range reduction of approximately 20% if they order option H for the Slot Punch.
⁷ Please note that cards shipped within the Americas are always laser-engraved. Inkjetted option is not available for these cards.

* The composite construction is recommended for all cards with over-laminate applied. Consult with the printer manufacturer prior to ordering.
