Sony DVM63HDR DVC HD Mini DV Tape 63 Minutes

Sony’s DVM-63HDR DVC HD Video tape offers the highest quality recording media for the consumer or prosumer making the step-up to an HD camcorder. Independent film makers, advertising agencies, and other videographers will appreciate the improved image quality, and the professional 63 minute tape duration. The DVM63HD features 90% fewer errors and 50% fewer dropouts compared to DV Reference tape (tested on standard Sony DV VCR). Get the good stuff... go for High Definition.

  • 63 minutes recording time of 1080i video

I use these tapes in an older prosumer Sony HDV camera. It is best for the tape mechanism of a camcorder, to stick with one particular tape. This tape is not the top-of-the-line Sony "digital master" but it is genuine HDV. This means that it is less likely to have dropouts than if you use non-HDV tapes in your camera.

I use the tapes in a small Sony HD camera. I have been shooting with these tapes for two years and haven't had a visible dropout yet. These tapes are amazingly consistent. I rent my camera out to a few local producers and they have found the tapes consistent and reliable as well. I've been a professional news and sports cameraman since 1976-before tape-and you can depend on these tapes.
